Is it possible to send a candy bar from the U.S. to Australia?

I read an article on eHow.com that said you can mail candy bars, as long as they are properly wrapped. My question is, how far do you think I can send it? It's winter in Australia at the moment, but still, it's got to cross the Northern Hemisphere, too. Do you think it will melt? Maybe this is a stupid question--but it is of the utmost importance, I ure you. :D
