What is the best way to explain away an affair?

My husband caught me with the newspaper delivery boy in the back of his new golf cart. I explained that he had just misplaced his homework and I was helping him find it in my Prada skirt. This worked, however I plan to invite the members of Phi Beta Kappa over for drinks tonight and I'm not sure what to tell my husband to keep him out of the house.
