Did any of you ever actually get ed on the bare as a kid?

I've read a lot about on the bare backside, yet none of my friends seem to recall ever being disciplined this way. Most were ed, but none got it on the bare. Did you? How old were you the last time? Who did it? Did they use something or just their hand? Is there any reason on the bare is better than not doing so?
