Questions of new moon midnight showing.. what to take & what time to be there?

Me & my boyfriend are going to the midnight showing of new moon in Modesto, Ca. We got the last few tickets and we are worried about finding two seats together because we don't want to sit apart obviously. So abut what time do you think we should get there? What should we take for waiting in line? Should I take blankets, food, entertainment? Help please :D
